Zoom allows one-to-one chat sessions that can grow into group calls, training sessions and webinars for internal and external audiences, and global video meetings with up to 1,000 participants and as many as 49 on-screen videos.
Zoom users can choose to record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another’s screens.
Zoom is available as web-based, a desktop client, and a mobile app.
The Leiden University Zoom license is only for educational purposes.
- Anyone who wants to give interactive lectures/sessions with groups of up to 300 people.
- Contact the ISSC helpdesk for information on using Zoom for bigger groups (more than 300 up to 1000).
Excluded from the university license are:
- Preregistered students
Preregistered students and alumni can join Zoom sessions held by the university with private Zoom accounts.
