Zoom can be used for planning and hosting educational meetings for up to 300 participants (or 1000 upon requesting the ISSC Helpdesk) as an alternative for Microsoft Teams.

The participants can record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another’s screens. A Zoom meeting can be created directly in the Zoom portal or from within Brightspace.

Zoom's privacy functionality for education has been improved through partnership with SURF. Key privacy and security measures are implemented and all known risks are resolved. The application can now also be used for sensitive information and is the recommended application for video conferencing in education.
