Wooflash is an easy-to-use educational platform available as both a desktop and mobile webpage or app, designed to support your teaching by integrating effective study techniques like spaced repetition, immediate feedback and active memory retrieval.

At the core of the platform is its adaptive algorithm, which personalizes study sessions for your students, continuously adjusting to their progress to optimize retention and understanding. Your students can conveniently use the app between classes to review flashcards, take quizzes, and strengthen their grasp of course material at their own pace. Wooflash also empowers you to create diverse interactive content — including flashcards and quizzes — helping you efficiently develop impactful educational materials and save valuable preparation time.

    Family Dinner

    📝 Family Dinner app - with this app, students learn to recognise an argumentative error from that aunt over Christmas dinner - Leiden University

    In the Psychologie en Wetenschap (Psychology and Science) course, Wooflash was used as part of the Family Dinner learning experience. This project aimed to develop students' critical thinking skills by immersing them in realistic conversations where they needed to identify logical fallacies and biases.

    How Wooflash Was Used:

    • Interactive Storytelling: Students engaged with a gamified storyline, answering multiple-choice questions (MCQs) throughout the five-chapter experience.
    • Spaced Repetition & Adaptive Feedback: Key concepts were reinforced using Wooflash’s spaced repetition system, ensuring students retained and applied knowledge over time.
    • Post-Class Practice: Students could continue using Wooflash after class, strengthening their critical thinking skills at their own pace.

    Using Wooflash for scenario-based learning allows students to engage with subject material dynamically, helping them develop critical analysis skills beyond traditional lectures.

    Woordenschat (Vocabulary)

    Language training app for Law students - Leiden University

    Wooflash

    The Woordenschat pilot supported law students preparing for the Taaltoets (language test) required for their program. The project focused on helping students build and retain a specialized legal vocabulary using personalized, independent study through Wooflash.

    How Wooflash Was Used:

    • Vocabulary Retention: Wooflash provided customizable flashcards that reinforced terminology essential for passing the Taaltoets.
    • Self-Paced Learning: As a standalone tool, students could practice anywhere, anytime, with their progress tracked automatically.
    • Faculty-Wide Adoption: With 900 students engaging in the Woordenschat pilot, the project demonstrated the potential for large-scale language learning support.
